Alan R. Goodman is a graduate of Brown University and of the University of Pennsylvania
Law School. He has been practicing law in Massachusetts since 1969.
The majority of his practice consists of real estate law, including the representation of
buyers, sellers and developers of commercial and residential real estate, as well as
institutional and private mortgage lenders. He has prepared documentation for over 20
condominiums. He has represented commercial landlords and tenants in leasing
transactions as well as buyers and sellers of businesses, including restaurants, stores,
beauty salons, video stores and other establishments. Attorney Goodman’s practice also
includes business and real estate litigation and corporate matters.
Attorney Goodman is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) of
Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He is a title agent for First
American Title Insurance Company. He has been given a rating of AV by Martindale Hubbell,
which is its highest rating for Massachusetts attorneys.

Chiara Urbani LaPlume obtained her Bachelor in Laws degree from University College,
University of London, England in 1996. She obtained her Master in Law from Boston
University School of Law in 2001. She has been practicing law in Massachusetts since
2001 and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District
of Massachusetts since 2002.
The majority of her practice consists of real estate and business law, including the
representation of privately-held businesses, buyers and sellers of both commercial and
residential real estate, and the representation of developers. Her practice also includes
civil litigation. Attorney LaPlume also takes an interest in representing art galleries and
artists and is a member of the Massachusetts Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, the Real
